Blame the corporations

It may come as a surprise to many residents of New Hampshire that corporations in the United States are, by law, considered individuals. Yes, natural persons! It flies in the face of common sense. It is considered "settled law." Settled by who? By crafty lawyers in the late 1800s who subverted basic and fundamental rights of our Constitution and established the doctrine of "corporate personhood," a claim that corporations were intended to fully enjoy the legal status and protections created for human beings.
I believe that corporations are not persons and possess only the privileges we willfully grant them.
The recent collapse of our economy can be laid at the feet of greedy, faceless corporations, answerable to none and arrogant enough to demand that they be compensated by us for their poor judgment and that their CEOs be given exorbitant perks at our expense.
If your mailbox is like mine, you will find mailings from all the major banks telling you that your credit card agreements have been modified, lowering your available credit and shorting the grace period for payment. Take it or leave it. So much for a thank you for bailing them out.
If you believe as I do that corporations are not human beings, then I suggest that you do some research and join a people's movement to restore common sense. You will get little help from lawyers or members of Congress. Corporation are their lunch buckets.
