I wouldn't exactly call myself smart. If I don't watch out I could be looking out at all you folks from behind bars soon. Just joking! All my friends and co-workers down in Mass have FiOS. Whah, whah, I want my FiOS! No actually, has anyone had experience with tethering? That is, using your cellphone to connect your laptop to the internet. I heard it's a touch slow and you can't use the setup long if you're on battery, because the battery heats up. What if you use the phone's wall wart or a USB port for power instead of the battery? I hear the new Apple iphone will support it and carriers like AT&T only plan to charge $10/month for their tethering plan. It would be cheaper than Comcast Internet per month. But the connection wouldn't be fast.
