Reminds me of a much earlier incident. Remember when Merilyn Senter was a Selectman. She sent out letters to all town Board Members and maybe even town employees reminding them to treat the public with a little respect. Guess a Planning Board member and a town official were getting a little pushy with the public at meetings. Remember Guy Sawyer said the letter was childish, that Merilyn should have contacted and maybe even identified the two officials involved and skip implicating everyone in Town Hall. Tim Moore took some heat too for not keeping the Planning Board meetings under control. So who were the two involved that time, Building Safety Czar Mike Dorman and Planning Board member Steve Ranlett or was it someone else? I used to watch those meetings and they were the two trying to control everything.

Former Selectman Senter made a few more eye-opening comments later in her political career. She had just seen the PowerPoint presentation on the Graham Waste Trash Plant and denied that they were going to accept municipal waste. Duh? It was right in the presentation.

When the town voted down the new Highway Garage and Salt Dome her first comment was I hope they at least reconsider the salt dome next year. Like who cares about the town employees breathing in methane at the current garage, at least the salt will be protected.

And then there was the toll increase. She and her new friend Executive Council Member Beverly Hollingsworth were pushing a toll increase to help fund the 10 or 15 year highway plan. Duh, it really a tax. A good chunk of toll money is not even being used for highways improvements, other State Departments are grabbing it to fund their operations, making it a tax. The Legislature put an end to some of this, but a few highway robbers still have their dirty little hands on our toll money.
