Update: So Where Was Waldo?

Not At Last Night's Planning Board Meeting. So Mr Bealo, what's it like working with all the no-shows and slugs on the Planning Board? Pretty discouraging. Keep up the good work. We're going to need all the "No" votes we can get.

The unfortunate thing about the Planning Board minutes is they're way behind again. Sometime in December I should find out why Selectman Gray and Board alternate Merilyn Senter missed this important meeting on Testa / Green Machine. Guess I can poke fun at them with this "Waldo" rant for weeks and weeks to come. I'll just bet they were conflicted. They wanted to vote their conscience, but wanted to follow the rules. In the end, rather than tarnish their good political reputations in town, by voting Yes, they opted out instead. What courage! I don't remember former Selectman Curran shirking her responsibility. I seem to remember one night she and Poliquin made an appearance at a Selectmans meeting even though they were excused. Seem the other board members were giving away the store that night and the adults had to go down there and vote No.

Then again, I could be way off base, Bob Gray and Merilyn Senter could have been together plotting who was going to become our next Town Manager.
