I would have to say it would be better to let Testa take us to court . The planning board has to do what is right by the towns residents and they should say - NO - and let Testa decide if they want to take the town to court. The shame of it all is that the town hasn't brought about the up dating of its ordinances and master plan quickly enough to keep up with the times. The Testa people have taken advantage of this and now the heavy/light industry question in the village area is going to cost time and money for the taxpayers no matter what the town or Testa decides to do. Testa has to really think about going further down the road with the town on their badgering us with business issues that the majority of residents do not want in the village area . If they are the up standing company they claim to be they would do right by the community by reconsidering the forcing of the issue in a court of law and having mutual and opposing dislikes for one another . Testa has had a lot of bad publicity from court actions brought about by numerous cases of safety related accidents and the resulting deaths from them . This obviously has to be due to the companies failure to comply with acceptable safety and contractual standards of the operations they preform. What good does it do for them to keep bringing heat on themselves and damage their opportunities to stay in their varied business fields of operations? With there past histories of being in court and legally found in fault numerous times that if I were one to decide the awarding of any contract I wouldn't give them the contract if they were/are the lowest bidder and award it the the next bidder . Lets see if tonights P.B. meeting and its members will stand strong by its residents with a resounding NO to Testa and Green Machine to force the issue once and for all.
