I will agree with the Herrick writing about this but I wonder why the towns leaders and , especially so , the Planning board haven't begun to do the changes needed to bring things up to date and the protectiveness the towns residents. After what has happened in the past with Mr. Pauls' [Chart] many tries to bring undesirable companies into Plaistow and now with Testa trying to get heavy industry herein town our town leaders should be scrambling to correct the problem that is before us all. Before there any more "mistakes" made it would be best to hasten the process of changes in the ordinances and establish an up to date Master Plan asap. There shouldn't have to be a citizens petition to do that if our leaders would get off there back sides and do the bidding of its taxpayers by recognizing the outcry that the residents have made thus far. At the next Board of Selectmen and Planning Board meetings some one should ask why they aren't doing the peoples bidding for the changes instead of getting a petition to make and have them do it ! I do not know how many times I have written here and said these changes were needed and no one has listened . That seems to be the Plaistow thing , do nothing and when its to late to do any thing and then start to scream " Why did this happen"!! The attitude of let the other guy do it has to stop ! We are less than 8000 in population that most are struggling to keep our heads above water and we can't afford law suits and become another Atkinson cost wise from law suites. -[ quality of living,taxes, and reputation ] - We all have to pay more attention to the applicants that want to come here with their good and bad business proposals . Testa is not going to be the only one to screw up the town if this action of change isn't taken soon. If it takes a petition to do this so be it but remember the process time involved is not the only thing that has to be done to get the petition action as required done . We do have to make some changes in leadership and come into this century business wise in the town in order to protect it from unwanted business occupancy in any given area not set aside for it in the Master Plan.
