Since I'm a bondage virgin except in browsing sites like lorelei's, and I have some other reasons why I've always been single too(but I won't go into that here) I don't have experience to give but I do have some advice. It's best to start small like Experienced said. When you talk about it again with her, tell her that the pain and slapping is S&M not bondage, and there is a real difference. Bondage can be a form of foreplay. You start by telling her in anything we experiment with we start off very light and slow, you explain safewords and only go as far as she feels comfortable with. You give an example, as loosely tying her hands in front with a scarf and then working on from there. For me, the bondage is more of a duo-role, such as I the villian have taken the damsel, then I leave the room for 2 seconds pop back around the corner as the hero. Even something as simple as just a blindfold to start might help ease her into the experimenting. Just my 2 cents.
