Messages URL changes "magically", causes FileNotFound

Hi, I've got your windows board and it's been working wonderfully for a loooong time, but in the last 2 days the URL for each message (you can hover over it w/mouse to see the problem) will 'magically and arbitrarily' change from the full, correct URL of :

http://www.joeandlou.com/discboardjoeandlou/forumgeneral/messages/519.shtml

to the incorrect (board path is missing) URL of :
http://www.joeandlou.com/messages/519.shtml

Of course, this generates the dreaded "file not found" when ANY message on the board is clicked. THEN, for no apparent reason, the URL seem "to correct themselves" again after a coupla hours. I know this makes no sense, but do you have any idea what might be happening?
